IMPORTANT!

This site has been discontinued for two reasons:

1. All the links in this site lead to either Esnips or Mediafire.

Esnips no longer exists and Mediafire has become increasingly shady in recent years, so a few months ago I uploaded all my custom content to SimsFileShare (where it should remain available and free forever).

2. Photobucket disabled third party hosting (unless I pay 400 dollars a year), so most of my entries no longer have functioning pictures.

Considering that editing the 100+ entries in this site with new links and pictures would take ages, I created an alternate "Simlish Creations" at Tumblr where you will find most of my stuff with correct links and pictures (I am only missing a few Peggy meshes). There's also stuff that I never uploaded here.

Tutorial: Creating a Custom Multiple Pollination Technician Set

By request, this is an illustrated Multi-PT tutorial. I'm a "visual learner" and I've also spent the last four years creating visual aids and cards for my little students, so I figured the seemingly intimidating instructions to create a Multi-PT set might be easier to understand if there were some pics to illustrate every step. I really hope that after reading this tutorial, you'll be motivated to try it out! :)

Credits: The awesome original Multi-PT mod and tutorial were created by fwiffo. I'm only providing a few pics to make it easier to understand.

Thanks for the good times, guys.

It's been a fun ride these five and a half years. When I joined the community, I was a freshly graduated girl working on her first job. You were with me when I applied for a scholrship in the U.S., when I won it, and during my adventures in a foreign country.

I had a lot of fun sharing my pictures, my quirky fandom-ish episodes, my silly story and my attempts at figuring out Photoshop (and you have no idea how much my experience doing Bodyshop stuff is helping when I design materials for my students/clients).

However, the interest in the Sims is long gone, to be honest. This has been coming for months, actually. So, it is time I sign out for good.

I'm going to miss you all! Have a great time, wherever you are!

(And enjoy the University EP tomorrow too!)

P.S. Everything I've done and created will stay online, of course. Hopefully, Mediafire won't play another prank on us!

Sexy Secretaries

Hey, I never uploaded this set here!

I've just noticed it after recovering the file from Jeeks (thank you so, so much!), which was taken down by Mediafire during their crazy Sim file deleting spree (according to Support, it was a bug).

Anyway, this a simple set of recolors of Shannanigan's Sexy Secretaries mesh from The Site that Really shouldn't be mentioned... at all. Color actions by Aelia, mesh included.

Mediafire Update

I just got the following E-mail from Mediafire:

However, they placed another strike against my account yesterday morning, this time for a file named “Super Secret Santa Build Mode” . The file was also removed.

Heads up!

I just got two e-mails from Mediafire, telling me they have removed two files from my account:

- A hair I named "Pirate Hair", which I am 100% sure it's a re-texture from Nouk (a free mesh). I guess the confusion comes from its name "Pirate". Guess I will re-name it Nouk's Donna Hair in the future to avoid confusion.

- A recolor of a mesh from Shannanigan (TSR), which is also now free. And the mesh is not included in the file.

I'm worried they are going to terminate my account because I now have "two strikes".

Edit: Just contacted mediafire. Let's hope this works!

I have no idea how I managed to have 199 followers on Tumblr, considering I barely post there (or here, actually) but, this was as good as excuse as any to post new content :)

Info:

I really like Remisims’ textures and color actions. However, I also like my orange-red and light brown colors. So, I am making an experiment this time.

With most of the hairs you will get Remisim’s 4 natural colors (binned and as a family) plus my orange-red and light brown colors as complements. The meshes are included too.

The exceptions are Flor de Fuego (which comes in my six main colors, as usual) and the Yuri-Raon conversion, because I was so let down by the fact that it's only for adults that I only did the four Remisim's colors. That mesh also has a gap on the neck :(. I don’t mind it too much, but I have to let you know nonetheless.

Secret Santa Present for Keoni

Keoni has received my present, and was also kind enough to share it at Garden of Shadows, HERE.

Included: Eight Asian inspired hairs (meshes by Rose and M&T Sims, alpha edited by Almighty Hat), a set of adorable little girl pigtails by Trapping and a bunch of Maxis and Custom Facial Hair recolors in my six colors :)

Default Replacement: AF_EF_TopTuckedWaist

Yessss... I was finally able to make default replacements of those ultra tacky tops from the Base Game!
How much I loathed those neon skulls, specially because a lot of my townies wore them!
Unfortunately, all the defaults I'd found of this mesh were complete overhauls, and I prefer texture replacements and/or mesh improvements.
CatofEvilGenius' mesh replacement is pretty neat (she made the top untuckable and even added a pregnant morph), but unfortunately she kept the original textures from the BaseGame.

I was able to combine her mesh replacement with new, extremely simple re-textures (using Aquilegia's linen texture and CuriousB and Aelia's colors).
I kept the original maxis solid colors. I only replaced the neon sheer tanks and the horrible neon skulls. I also replaced the gothic black top, so if you want it back you'll need to edit my file with SimPe.

You can only have one default at a time so please REMOVE any other default (including CatofEvilGenius' original file) if you want to have my recolors.

Toys for Creators: Extracted Pictures from the Sims 3 Generations

What it says on the tin :)

I went through The Sims 3 Generations EP files and extracted a bunch of icons (for t-shirts, for example), paintings, signs and posters. Hope those of you who like to make Custom Content find them useful.

It's a RAR with transparent PNGS. I already cropped and rotated them for easy use.

Lady Gaga Content Dump

I've been revisiting the requests that have been left to me in the past year. Many of them asked for Maxis Match Lady Gaga custom content.
Now, I've got to be honest and say that I only got to work on these requests now that plenty of Gaga hair meshes have come out.
I know who Lady Gaga is and I like a few of her songs, but other than that I'm not exactly a fan.
And as much as I'd like to try to make some of her unique clothing, meshing is definitely not one of my abilities.

So, 4 hairs (three unreleased) and an accessory is what you're getting from me this time :)

BTW, the Lady Gaga sim I am using to model these hairs was downloaded here. I changed her skin and eyes to make her more Maxis Matchy.
The makeup is by Nabila (eyeliner, my favorite!) and Nymphy (lipstick, part of her 80's makeup). She also created a skull makeup that matches the Born This Way hair :)
Clothing is by Maxis.

Four hairs for males with all ages enabled thanks to Trapping. It's possible you already have two of these meshes in your game, so I strongly suggest you replace those files with these new ones.

As always, textures by Summerdream Sims, six natural colors by me and the meshes (which are included) by their respective creators. The gray hair is linked to the black color.

Simlish Creations is 100% back in action!

Tonight, I used part of my Birthday money and some of my earnings to upgrade my Photobucket account to Pro, considering I ran out of bandwidth again in less than 24 hours. This time I went with a full year renewal because it is much cheaper than monthly payments in the long term (as I did back then) and this way I can forget about this issue until August 2012 :D.

So, yup, this site has all the preview pics back. I will even make a new banner to spice things up a bit. I changed the layout a few weeks ago and completely revamped the tag system (it's now a complete list sorted by categories on the right sidebar), so you can now easily find everything I've ever done.

I am not upgrading my Mediafire account, though. That would be too expensive for me and so far it hasn't been necessary. I just hope Mediafire never decides to add a timer for each download like 4share... that would be annoying and I'd definitely look for a new host then.

I really appreciate all your supportive messages after my last announcement, including your incredibly generous offers to host my pics. Thank you SO much, but don't worry, I'm sure this purchase is more than enough to keep this small site running from now on :).

Just *please* refrain from hotlinking my pictures. Pro account or not that is not nice at all (it is stealing in a way) and it's what forced me to acquire this upgrade. Thanks!

Premade Maxis Characters Part 3

This is the 3rd part of my Sims 1 and 3 characters' project. I was not going to continue with this project for now, but a comment from selenecorvino inspired me to tackle this again. She linked me to an entry in the Wikia with a link to zip created by someone named Callista that contained cleaned and extracted versions of pretty much every single dead pre-made character from the Base Game. I told her I would try them out and, considering I had a free afternoon today, I did it earlier than expected :D

Thank you so much, selenecorvino! This project has become easier than ever thanks to your link. The characters work all right, by the way, because they are cleaned clones. They are safe to use and I tried them out in both Bodyshop and in-game.

So, with these extracted characters as my base, I set to work on the next Sims 1 families from Pleasantview. I think that once I'm done with these I'll move on to Strangetown :D.

Small Announcement Regarding Simlish Creations

Due to financial issues (not too severe, but right now I'm not in the position to splurge on hobbies) I had to cancel both my Mediafire and Photobucket accounts for Simlish Creations. I was able to pay for both of them for almost two years, so I think that was a good run for a small Custom Content site :D

It seems that my Mediafire account was not affected by the downgrade, because most of my individual files are small (less than 5 Mb each) and I currently don't have so many downloads.

However, Photobucket locked my account due to bandwidth issues two days after I began my "cycle". I have no freaking idea why I have drained 10Gb worth of bandwidth in such a short amount of time (I hope no one is hotlinking my pics elsewhere), but this means that there won't be preview pics of most of my stuff until the 24th.

I am trying to upload my new pics on LJ Scrapbook from now on, but I won't go back and change ALL my pics because that would be insane.

I apologize for the inconvenience!

Christmas in July 2011 (Part 2)

These were not made by me, but that doesn't stop me from pimping them on my site <3

I received my Christmas in July present last week. I was so happy, because my Santee, Sarang, made recolors of virtually everything I was hoping to have in my game like:

- Tons of Toddler clothing (PJs and Formal clothing)
- Formal Clothing for Children
- Formal Clothing for teen males and adult males
- Sofa recolors
- Toy recolors from Maxis Meshes
- The cutest set of Rugs ever!
- And even Pre-made Sims portraits.

I was SO spoiled this Summer! :)

Christmas in July 2011 (Hair, Harry Potter Posters and Tank Recolors)

I really love Garden of Shadows, because it constantly motivates people to create innovative stuff, no matter your skills or experience.

Unlike the other big sites, GOS still considers the Sims 2 Community pretty much alive, even two years after the release of the Sims 3. Who needs Maxis/EA when we still get the equivalent of whole EPs/SPs worth of nice quality and amazing stuff each month (with the themes, for example)?

I am so glad with my experience this Summer with the Christmas in July exchange. Both the present I got from Sarang and the opportunity to create for voleste were amazing and very fun. I hope I have the time/opportunity to participate next time :).

So, since Voleste has kindly shared her present at GOS, I'd like to send you guys there too: This is her post at the CiJ thread.

Due to space constraints, I sent her small preview pictures of the things I made, squishing three hairs or fours posters per picture. Below you'll get to see the original pictures, including both the hairs and the full sized posters :)
