Something tells me that LJ is going down the drain.

It seems there's an attack going on right now, and if it's true it'd be the third time this week. And before that, there was the issue with most mail providers blacklisting LJ due to a spambot invasion. And before THAT I'd been reading several complaints from my f-list about receiving lots of spam comments in their journals.

I really like Livejournal. I've been there since early 2004 and I've had my Sims journal since 2007. I hope I won't have to move to another place, things just wouldn't be the same, specially finding my F-list again.

I really like LJ, too. It really feels like we have a bit of a community going on there.

It seems like something about LJ has really pissed off these people. I'm going to hazard a guess that tightening security to reduce spam and get off thet black list has riled someone or some group to the point of declaring war on LJ. They're under DDOS attack just about every day or every other day for over a week. I'm not sure what they can do to prevent this but if these people are organised enough to find a new exploit every couple of days, I think LJ are in for a long hard slog fighting them off.

If things keep going the way they are, we all may have to move or just suck it up. DW would be a pretty nice new home for all us Simmers though. I do find it more user friendly than LJ, and there doesn't seem to be all those problems you mentioned.
