simlish | Pokémon Sims

These are the Pokémon Sims I used for the videogame posters. I tweaked them a little with Bodyshop (the original ones were done with CAS, so I didn't have as many options to edit their faces as I wanted), but other than that, they are identical.

All right, please correct me if I'm wrong (it's been ages since I last watched this cartoon back on its first season). This is Ash Ketchum, a ten-year old boy (who should be thirty by now, considering the billions seasons of Pokémon so far) who left his town to pursue his dream to become a Pokémon Masters (i.e. Gotta Catch'Em All!) by catching every single Pokémon in existence and winning the medals from the Gyms Masters at every town he visits). Last time I watched this cartoon back in the year 2000, he was an impulsive kid who did a lot of stupid stuff, but he often meant well. I suppose he's had some sort of character development, because according to my nieces, he's now sort of a mentor to the kids who travel with him.

Now guys, if you don't know who's this little guy, then I'll suspect you've been living under a rock. Even if you haven't played the games or watched the cartoons, there was a time back in the year 2000 where you could see this yellow mouse every-freaking-where. I even did a college assignment on the popularity of this guy.

This is Pikachu, Ash's best friend, first pokémon and most powerful ally during his adventures. He's an electric pokémon, so he often uses his powers to fry his enemies and rivals. He's supposed to be a special kind of Pikachu, far more powerful than the others, hence the persistence of the best characters in this cartoon, The Team Rocket, to steal him from Ash (and they always end up blasted off or whatever they mutter when Pikachu kicks their poor asses).

Misty is Ash's first companion. From what I've read on the Internet, she eventually left the team and Ask joined forces with other girls (guy's a Casanova, indeed). She joined Ash's adventure after he accidentally destroyed her bicycle, so she's often bitching and demanding him to pay his debt. I have no idea if he ever did that.

Misty is a water pokémon specialist, and in a "shocking" plot twist, she reveals she's the master of the Water Gym and ends up fighting against Ash for a medal. She has a bad temper, but loves cute things. Meh...

Finally, here's Brock. As his pun-tastic name implies, he's a rock pokémon specialist. He's the first Gym master that fights against Ash and, I don't remember well, but he ends up joining the team because he's sick of taking care of his billion siblings.

Brock is the perfect romance sim. He's obsessed with girls (but has bad luck hitting on them), especially the clone nurses and policewomen the team finds at every single town they visit. Seriously, they are creepy.
